What is Crystal Energy Healing®?

Crystals are everywhere. Crystalline matter is part of our living body, we eat crystals, we use them hundreds of times a day. Our body is half a bathtub of water (molten ice) and a few cups of powdered minerals. We are an evolved mineral!
The mineral kingdom makes up over 99.99% of the earth. Over 75% of the bodies of plants and animals is made up of the molten form of mineral ice (water). The mineral, biological world we live in is a system of energy exchange and movement, and energy moving through structure is called Life. The mineral kingdom is the foundation for all life on earth and beyond.
Crystals are a special state of mineral matter with properties that make them unusually powerful tools for mankind. Crystals have the ability to vibrate and control vibrational frequencies. If you have sensitive fingers you can feel the vibration.
Our state of mind has a great deal of influence on our state of health. The physical, mental, spiritual and energetic go hand in hand. Energetic disturbances or blockages occur whenever there is injury, illness, or trauma. During the healing process, you remove these blockages, restoring a healthy energy pattern to the body. Every injury and emotional hurt takes a little bit of Light out of your energy field. Crystal Healing restores that Light, renews the energy, and gives you the opportunity to be healthy again.
Pain is your body's signal to pay attention. Disease or illness begins on the energetic level before being transferred to the mental and physical levels. Pain is a by-product of energy blockages. One extremely effective method of removing these blockages is by using crystals.
What really happens in Crystal Healing is that our own human ability to heal, our own human ability to amplify and to focus on our own energies, is being reflected back to us more clearly through the use of crystals. They are powerful tools for healing at a subtle and deep level. The actual healing comes solely from inside us. Each crystal is unique even though their inner patterns are identical, their external forms will all be different in some way, therefore the mirroring of energy will be slightly different. For one person it will mirror one thing, for another person the same crystal will mirror something else. How we react to a given crystal, how and what it mirrors depends on what we need energetically at that moment.
You may try the use of crystals suggested in various crystal books. Be sensitive to the response and results, they may be different than described. That is the nature of energy healing it is very personal and unique for the individual. Keep in mind that clear intention gets clear results.
In my Crystal Energy Healing/Laying-on-of-stones I relate the color of the crystals and placement of the crystals to the chakras (energy centers near the spine that relate to the endocrine glands). When colored crystals are used, many of the properties ascribed to them are their color properties. A great deal of insight can be coming from the vibration of the color of the stone. If the combination of both the crystal and the color factors are kept in mind, they provide a very useful and powerful combination.

WHAT IS HYPNOTISM?
Hypnotism is a very effective and safe mind/brain/body technique. When used appropriately it can help you to overcome many emotional and physical obstacles. Hypnotism has been known to help in the areas of stress/distress, fear/phobia, anxiety, addiction, self esteem, study habits/grades, athletic performance, insomnia, changing pain , side effects of medication, surgery, and pregnancy/birth.
Hypnotism helps you to access a state of deep relaxation and focused awareness called hypnosis. Utilizing deep relaxation techniques, the body and the conscious, or 'thinking' part of the brain becomes relaxed. This allows access to and communication with the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind can only record and store information/experiences. Hypnotism helps your subconscious mind to safely release stored and recorded negative information/experiences, and reinforce and add positive information. This is even more effective if the hypnotist uses your own words, and involves you when writing your personal scripts. While in hypnosis you are aware at all times of what you are hearing, and you remember what you heard. You are in control of accepting or rejecting any suggestions. You go home with a recording of your personal session, listening to it daily helps reinforce the positive suggestions to bring about your desired results.
Emotional healing hypnotism allows you to release negative emotions, you may or may not talk during this process, and this part of the session is not recorded. Emotional healing hypnotism can be used alone, or before using scripts for any emotional and/or physical changes.
Hypnotism often requires a commitment of three sessions, within a four week period. The first session could be two hours long, and includes the intake. Subsequent sessions are one hour. The recording you listen to daily could be from 20-30 minutes long, depending on what changes you are working on. Positive changes occur, and results are seen after the first session. These positive changes are reinforced and fine tuned in the second and third sessions, and any subsequent sessions thereafter. Most people find hypnotism very emotionally freeing, and deeply relaxing emotionally and physically. Some find it life changing as well.
Recalling the scientific studies by Candace Pert Ph.D., proving that emotion and thought create a body reaction, it is easy to understand why hypnotism can be very effective in healing the mind/brain/body connection.
The American Medical Association has stated that 'hypnosis is a valuable therapeutic adjunct, especially in the treatment of stress related diseases.'

In hypnosis the subconscious mind is extremely receptive to suggestion. Metabolism, breathing, and heartbeat slow down, and the brain produces alpha waves. In alpha states, the body gradually relaxes as the parasympathetic nervous system predominates. This reverses the fight-or-flight (stress) response. Your hearing is much sharper and you hear more than you normally do. You are never 'out of it', unconscious, or sound asleep. You are still in control. Nothing can be suggested that would be against your moral, ethical, or spiritual beliefs.
Your subconscious mind is the most powerful computer in the universe. It cannot think or reason on its own, it has automatic responses. It has recorded everything you experienced since the beginning of time.
One form of hypnotherapy is past life regression. Reincarnation is not a religious issue, nor a question of faith or doctrine. It is a belief of logic and reason. It has been proved time and again in hypnosis. Many times in hypnosis, clients are asked to go back to the age where the problem began. It is quite common for a client to go back to another life! This has prompted the curiosity and possibilities of living many lives.
There are specific past life regression techniques, purposefully designed to connect with one or more past lives to retrieve valuable information. Information that could validate and help heal present life issues. Everyone has lived before, whether we remember it or not. PREPARE for SURGERY, HEAL FASTER ®
Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster ®, is a specific use of Mind-Body techniques to help you feel calmer before surgery, treatments or procedures, use less pain medication, and recover faster. An analysis of 191 studies with 8,600 patients, documents that people who prepared for surgery had less pain, fewer complications and recovered sooner.
The five steps to prepare for surgery are:
- Calm preoperative jitters guided by the relaxation tape. Feeling peaceful strengthens your immune system and creates the complex bio-chemistry that enhances healing.
- Visualize your recovery by turning worries into healing imagery.
- Surround yourself in love of family and friends to feel calm before surgery.
- Use "Healing Statements," words spoken during surgery that reduce the use of pain medication by 23-50%.
- Establish supportive doctor-patient relationships.
Ideally you will take the workshop one or two weeks before your operation. If you only have a day before surgery, you can still benefit. The workshop can be given in person or by phone, and includes the book Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster by Peggy Huddleston and its companion Relaxation/Healing audio tape. Transformational RELAXATION / VISUALIZATION / SELF HYPNOSIS
Each of us has the power to create a healthy, rewarding and enjoyable life for ourselves through Mind/Body techniques. We also have the power to attract and use positive energy to our advantage with a process called creative visualization. Using creative visualization involves exploring, discovering, and changing our deepest, most basic attitudes toward life. There are four basic steps to successful visualization.
- set your goal
- create a positive clear picture, include all your senses
- focus on your mental picture often
- give it positive energy. These positive statements are called affirmations.
To begin to visualize you must first illicit the relaxation response. This is done through the breath and relaxing every part of your body. Once you have gone through several levels of relaxation, you will begin the visualization process. It is suggested to do this twenty minutes once or twice a day, morning and/or night. Other times during the day when negative or fearful thoughts arise, you would imagine your positive, clear picture right away. You could do this often when stressed. Even 10 minutes or less will bring positive results.
You can learn a variety of easy to apply breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, affirmation techniques, visualization techniques, and self hypnosis techniques, in a group setting, or private sessions.
These methods can be used to ease chronic pain, auto-immune system illnesses, anxiety and many more of life's stressful situations.
These methods can also be used to achieve goals and create positive changes in your life!
There are many double blind studies that have been done that prove the positive effects of Mind/Body techniques such as relaxation and visualization. Relaxation and visualization are integrative tools we all can use to improve the function of our immune system, limbic system, central nervous system and all our body systems. WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is pronounced "ray-kee". It is a Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy. Its roots are believed to be part of Tibetan Buddhism. Reiki Healing was re-discovered by a Japanese minister, Dr. Mikao Usui, in the 1890's. It made its way to the west in the 1940's through Mrs. Hawayo Takata. Mrs. Takata lived in Hawaii and studied Reiki in Japan, from Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, a student of Dr. Usui. Mrs. Takata initiated 22 Reiki Master Teachers before her passing in 1980. Currently there are more than 200,000 Reiki Practitioners in the world, including many Master Teachers
Reiki encourages healing energies in the body, and involves the Universal Life Force Energy that is everywhere. Most emotional, physical, and spiritual conditions will respond to treatment, including many that are considered to be untreatable by conventional medicine.
Reiki helps individuals release energy blocks and the connected emotions, which in turn helps the release of the causal level of disease. The energy field around us changes with every breath, movement and thought. Healing energy exists in and around the body, it can be depleted when you are ill or under stress. Reiki helps to create a positive shift in your energy, to help your body, mind, and spirit heal.
In a Reiki session, the Reiki practitioner is in a meditative state, and is receiving Reiki as well as channeling Reiki to the client. The practitioner and client do not exchange their own energy with each other; in fact Reiki protects them from that happening. The Reiki practitioner is like a straw for the client to pull the energy through and into their body. The client is the one who regulates how much energy is channeled through to them. When the Reiki practitioner puts their hands gently on the client or in the energy field of the client (there is no manipulation), the clients body then accepts the energy in the amount they need at that time. The energy knows just where to go to balance the client's energy on all levels, physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Reiki encourages the process of empowerment and self healing. Anyone can become a certified Reiki Practitioner through training and initiation/attunement. Once you have become a practitioner, you can channel Reiki to yourself and others. Reiki is not dependant on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development, and therefore is available to everyone. Reiki has been taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.
There are many Centers, Clinics and Hospitals through out the country and the world using Reiki to accelerate recovery from surgery, improve mental attitude, reduce the negative effects of medication and medical procedures, as well as stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki is not meant to take the place of medical treatment. It can only enhance well-being and complement any health care currently in use. There are no known contraindications to Reiki.

Integrated Energy Therapy® is ideal for students wanting to begin an energy therapy practice, and also provides a wonderful complement to other holistic techniques such as Massage, Reiki, and Therapeutic Touch. Integrated Energy Therapy® is an attunement based energy therapy system. Each level of our IET training system contains an energy attunement that works directly with the 12-Strand DNA to expand, realign, and restructure one or more pairs. Each IET attunement builds progressively with the others to ultimately bring all six pairs of DNA into their full power. IET attunements can only be done by a certified IET Master-Instructor and must be done in person (they cannot be done remotely).
In Integrated Energy Therapy® we believe that our life is not completely healed until we are living our dreams in life. Therefore, we have developed a progressive focus for our classes that starts with clearing the pain and helping us “survive life”, and progresses to finding and living our soul’s mission so that we can “thrive in life”.
WHAT IS STRESS? (What can we do about it?)
Stress, more accurately distress, is the cause of most disease in the body. Stressors are events which require adaptation by the body. Such as weather, temperature (heat, cold, sun), inadequate nutrition (excess or deficient nutrients), strong emotions (positive or negative), lack of rest, sleep or excess work, exercise, allergies or compromised immunities, trauma (wounds, burns, crush injuries), infections, surgery (anesthesia, includes dental work) and reproduction (hormonal and excitatory stress).
The effects of short term stress (distress) on the body are the fight or flight response, increased adrenal function, increased heart rate and lung capacity, dilation of pupils, increased glucose and fat utilization, increased blood pressure, increased excitation of the nervous system, increased blood clotting, increased sweating and decreased digestive function.
The effects of long term stress (distress) on the body are, increased adrenal function, decreased immune function, increased susceptibility to disease, decreased digestive function, decreased reproductive function, exhaustion, fatigue, increased use or desire for "stimulants", increased demand for nutrients.
The short term stress response is necessary to respond effectively in an emergency. However, if you experience every day as an emergency, you pay the price of the effects of long term stress (distress). If you repeatedly turn on the stress response, or if you can not appropriately turn off the stress response at the end of a stressful event, the stress response can eventually become nearly as damaging as some stressors themselves. A large percentage of stress related diseases are disorders of excessive stress response. Distress is harmful and occurs when unresolved emotional stress is prolonged and not dealt with in a positive way.
The good news is we have enormous potential to protect ourselves from many of these stress related diseases, or to help deal effectively with stress related diseases. Inducing the relaxation response can counteract the stress response. With repeated use of the relaxation response it is possible to recover from the damaging effects of excessive stress response.
Increasing certain nutrients, helps the body deal with stress. Those nutrients are protein, vitamins A, C, E, vitamin B complex, cholesterol, essential fatty acids and essential minerals. It is suggested to receive these nutrients through fresh organic non-processed foods plus supplements if required.
Get regular exercise. Any type of exercise will do the trick, as long as it is regular. This means every day for 20 to 30 minutes. Walking outdoors is an excellent choice in relieving the effects of stress on the body.
Understanding and applying a positive Mind Body connection will greatly reduce and reverse the negative effects of stress on the body. Improving your external and internal environment will help relieve stress. Living with spirituality and unconditional love will help relieve and reverse the effects of stress.
Through the practice of all of the above, it is possible to prevent or recover from the negative effects of stress. This means normalized cardiovascular function, normalized digestive function, normalized immune function, normalized reproductive function, normalize glucose utilization, normalize the resistance to disease and the ability to regain energy and vitality.

Empowerment Through Whole Health Education®
Whole Health Education® is a model of client education based on unconditional presence with respectful listening, which invites the client into their own healing and self-management. The Whole Health model, developed at New England School of Whole Health Education (now NIWH), embraces a peer counseling format, and provides clients with the information necessary for them to make informed health care choices. I am a trained and certified as a Whole Health Educator®, my internship was in cardiac rehab at Martha's Vinyard Hospital.
As a Whole Health Educator® I invite clients to make healing choices by providing information which helps them understand their particular health issues and/or conditions, and how it may be necessary for them to make changes in order to get well and/or stay well.
The five (5) basic human needs; Spiritual, Emotional, Physical, Nutritional/Chemical, & Environmental, plus the four (4) common good components; Respect, Compassion, Charity/Caring, & Justice/Fairness, are addressed through the explanation of the Mind/Body/Environment interrelationships along with educator/physician/scientific -identified support .
It is my belief as a Whole Health Educator® that everyone can benefit from Whole Health Education® regardless of educational background, culture, race, age or gender. Anyone with chronic illness, or anyone wishing to have optimum health can benefit from Whole Health Education®. In my opinion Whole Health Education® helps one capture the most out of living their life here on earth as a Human Being!

What is Tong Ren?
Tong Ren energy healing was developed by Tom Tam of Boston, MA. Tong Ren is a type of energy healing that uses the collective unconscious, (defined by Dr. Carl Jung) for removing energy blocks and internally healing the body’s energy system. According to Tong Ren philosophy, it is the blockage of energy in the body that causes physical or psychological problems. Different physical and psychological illnesses have different blockages. When we can find and release the blockage, the healing rate increases.
Tong Ren finds neurological, vascular, hormonal, chemical, mechanical, and electrical roots to various problems. Practitioners and patients/clients alike learn these crucial details as they are stored in the collective unconsciousness, creating an intricate and powerful way of healing.
Tom Tam recognizes Chi as energy, which is created in the universe and can be used to create healing. The universal Chi is accessed through the collective unconscious. Tom Tam believes the practitioner’s belief in the effectiveness of Tong Ren healing is a key element enabling access by the practitioner to the collective unconscious. As more people practice Tong Ren, the stronger the healing force becomes. Chi is the fundamental magneto-electric field in the universe. In our bodies Chi is equivalent to bioelectricity, which is essential for maintaining healthy nerve impulses, required for nourishing cells enabling them to self repair.
The Tong Ren Guinea Pig class is a way for many to receive Tong Ren healing at the same time. In the Guinea Pig class we focus the energy via the collective unconscious to release blockages that cause illness. As the Chi flows freely the body heals.
Over time and with a commitment to showing up for the guinea pig classes a vast majority of patients/clients have reported significant improvements. Family members and friends are welcome to accompany the patient/client. During the class everyone has the right to receive or refuse the energy treatment. All the people in the class become part of the collective unconscious state and therefore benefit from the healing energy.
Chinese healing theory believes the best healer heals the dis-ease before it presents itself.
With Tong Ren there is no physical contact between the practitioner and the patient/client. Tong Ren uses an acupuncture model/doll and a magnetic hammer, and sometimes a laser beam on the doll. The practitioner connects to the healing collective unconscious, while tapping specific points on the acupuncture doll in regard to each patient/client diagnosis and symptoms, this can remove blocks and increase healing.
In the class patients/clients are asked to sit and relax and quietly receive the healing energy. Most people report warmth or heat in their face as the Chi moves through the body. Some may feel tingling in their extremities as the Chi moves down from the head through the arms and hands, legs and feet. Some report a lightness or heaviness in their body. All of these sensations are normal reactions to Chi opening up blocks and moving through the body. Some may cry or have an emotional release, all is perfectly normal and healing as the Chi removes blocks in the body. Some even feel a sensation of a cyst or tumor shrinking, softening or disappearing. In the weight loss client, many have reported a sensation of their abdomen shrinking, and when they measure it they find it has. Some people feel tired as they relax and release energy blocks, brainwaves may slow down to let the body focus on energy to heal the dis-ease. All are normal sensations.

Care of Self
How grateful I am to be living on Cape Cod, in this blessed place on Earth. I happen to be writing from South Cape Beach. Today the wind is so strong that the sand is powerfully blowing sideways, the waves have whitecaps and are forcefully crashing against the shore. I stepped out of the car and was immediately pelted by the sand. I went down to the waves, when I had enough, I returned to the car. The weather is forcing me to stay in my car to write. This is today, tomorrow will be different, perhaps calmer, and yesterday was calmer.
Perhaps all the fear and anxiety that we perceive surrounds our country, and each of us at this time, is like the weather today; waves of emotion and crashing thoughts, forcing us to go inward into ourselves and face our fears and work through them.
This space inside your self can be secure and strong. There are ways to nurture that space inside yourself, so it will support you in times like these. So it will support you for a sustainable amount of time. So it will be a safe haven in the storm. Your loved ones, anyone you live with, and anyone you come into contact with, will benefit from you nurturing this space inside yourself.
There is a level of peace and joy associated with this space. Yes you will leave this space, you may get pelted by the outside world, even get windblown by all the emotions, but you will know when you've had enough, and it is time to return to this space inside yourself.
There are many ways to strengthen this space inside your self , here are a few;
- PLAY- being playful, brings joy to this space.
- QUIET- being quiet brings reflection to this space.
- LOVE- be loving to your self and bring security to this space.
- MEDITATION- brings peace to this space.
- RELAXATION- brings calm to this space.
- COMMUNICATION- brings nurturing to this space.
- CREATIVITY- brings beauty to this space.
- DAILY ROUTINES- bring purpose to this space.
If we can do all of the above, every day, we can heal and strengthen this space inside ourselves. We can be in contact with our Higher Selves, on a regular basis. We are able to go to that special space inside ourselves as often as we need to. Some days you may need to be in that space more often, or for a longer period of time, that's OK.
There are many ways to achieve the above, you can find your favorite ways, and those might change from time to time. Trust that by taking care of this space, you are taking the best care of yourself. Trust you are also taking care of everyone you come into contact with. Trust you are also taking care of the planet. Trust also that we are all connected, and that a collective nurturing on all levels is successful.
The sun is setting now, and it is beautiful! That is the only change I notice on the outside. The wind is still blowing, the sand is still pelting, and the waves are still crashing. At this moment, I share only strength, beauty, and purpose, with the outside. Security, calmness, nurturing, reflection, peace, and joy, are all inside me.
Whatever is going on outside of you, you can go into your special space inside yourself, connect with your higher power, and find refuge. You owe it to yourself, and the planet.

A Recipe for Healthy Aging
Most days the thought of aging is absent from our psyche. It is only in those moments when we catch ourselves focusing on a negative, such as a physical or emotional pain/distress, that the thought of aging creeps in. What triggers the pain is usually a stressful/distressful situation that we catch ourselves in. It could be happening now, or anticipating it happening in the future, or remembering it happening in the past. The psyche registers it all as happening now.
To prevent being caught in stressful situations, it helps to be aware of the stress signs, or all the situations that might register stress inside our brain and body. If you find yourself in a difficult situation or thinking about one, listen to what is happening inside and outside of you, then adjust your perspective, how you think about it and what might be the best for you in this situation or thought, it could be deep breathing, a nod, a smile, or excusing yourself peacefully without resentment, without judgment. This allows you to remain centered and objective, and free as opposed to caught in any given situation or thought. You are much more understanding of yourself and others if you can react in this manner.
There are many ways to accept aging and live happily and healthy while proceeding through life. A joyful, positive and peaceful presence is optimum. It helps to find your true self, your true calling, and surround yourself with like-minded true friends. It helps to eat a variety of healthy real foods, preferably organic, eating only when hungry. Drinking plenty of clean water when thirsty, will hydrate you, and help with flexibility and digestion. Walking outside every day for 20 to 30 minutes, without sunscreen will help with emotional and physical pain/distress, if you unable to walk, just being outside and/or thinking about walking outside can help. Having your bare feet on the untreated ground or on the cement in your basement for 20 minutes each day helps to reset your bodys natural electric system. Remaining creative regardless of what is happening in your life, and acknowledging you’re spirituality and connection with everything is paramount.
As we age throughout this life, it is important to breathe deeply, laugh often, meditate daily, love always, and follow your heart. You can work, play, and regularly rest for balance. Please listen to your heart, your gut, and your intuition, and know without a doubt that the Divine/universe is guiding you with the utmost knowledge and ultimate love and Grace as we are all ONE with the collective unconscious at all times. Everything is Everything and I Am that I Am, Namaste!
